Dr. Joshua Bonsell joined Atlantic Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in the summer of
2024 as a Pain Management specialist.
Dr. Bonsell completed his undergraduate degree at The Pennsylvania State University-
Schreyer's Honor College. He then attended medical school at Lewis Katz School of
Medicine at Temple University with a sub-internship in surgery. Dr. Bonsell completed
two years of surgical training at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA, after
which he completed his residency in anesthesiology at NYU Grossman School of
Medicine. From there he completed a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at
Weill Cornell School of Medicine/New York Presbyterian Hospital. He is board-certified
and has incorporated the newest cutting edge PRP (platelet-rich plasma) and BMAC
(bone marrow aspirate concentrate) therapies into his treatment regimen. This provides
an alternative to patients that wish to avoid both medication and surgical intervention,
while still obtaining meaningful pain relief by activating the patient's own healing
mechanisms without the use of medication.
With extensive training in anesthesiology and a focus on interventional pain
management, Dr. Bonsell specializes in treating acute and chronic pain conditions,
